Nut Butters – A New Dimension in Using Nuts

Does Nutella need an introduction? A childhood (and adulthood?) favorite for breakfast, a classic pancake filling, a beloved treat. But what about the ingredients? Sugar, palm oil, hazelnuts (13%), milk powder, cocoa powder, etc... Although it's sold as a hazelnut spread, based on its ingredients, it would be more accurate to call it a palm oil-sugar cream or sugary palm fat. Nutella contains a whopping 56% sugar! And only 13% hazelnuts…
We thought we could do better than that. At Mendula, we’re obsessed with hazelnuts, so we wanted to create a product where the hazelnut flavor really shines—not the palm oil. The formula is simple: we don’t use any artificial flavors, so that rich hazelnut taste comes from a high hazelnut content :)
Our Mendula Hazelnut Cream Deluxe contains 78% hazelnuts, with only honey and Belgian cocoa powder added—nothing suspicious. If you follow a vegan diet or just don’t like honey, try our Vegan Edition, made with coconut sugar instead. That’s it: just three ingredients, and you have a delicious and healthy hazelnut cream. Plant-based milk in just 1 minute. Use almond butter for almond milk, hazelnut butter for hazelnut milk, or cashew butter for cashew milk. One tablespoon of almond butter, 300 ml water, a dash of honey/maple syrup, and a hand blender—that’s all! You can even make a chocolate hazelnut milk with our Hazelnut Cream Deluxe. Not only is it tastier and faster than the store-bought versions, it’s also much cheaper. Not to mention the real nut content...
And of course, the forever favorite—oatmeal—can't be left out. A healthy breakfast has never been easier or quicker to prepare.
